Reporting a match

If a published match looks to you like a breach of the charter — it targets a private individual, it is defamatory, it is phrased as an insult — write to us with the address of the page and what the problem is. A reported match is re-examined and removed if it should never have passed review. We do not remove a match because its result is unwelcome: a score going against your side is not grounds for removal.

Reporting a counting problem

If you see a score that looks impossible — a sudden jump, a total inconsistent with what you are looking at — tell us, with the approximate time and the page concerned. These reports are useful: they help us spot inflation attempts our automated checks let through.

Correcting a page

The texts accompanying matches are written by hand and can contain factual errors. If you find one, tell us: quote the exact sentence and, if you can, a source. Corrections are made directly on the page, and its verification date is updated.

Proposing a match

Match proposals do not go through this address: they have their own form, which collects the title, the contenders and the category in the right format and puts them into the review queue. A match sent by e-mail will not be processed — not out of principle, but because it would get lost. The acceptance criteria are set out in the charter.

Questions about a purchase

For a payment problem — voices not credited, a double charge, an invoice request — include the date, the amount and the e-mail address of the account concerned. These are handled first. The applicable conditions are in the terms of sale.

Press and reuse of our figures

Results shown here may be quoted freely, provided you credit VoteRoyale as the source, give the date of the measurement and link to the match: a score moves constantly, and a figure without a date means nothing. For an extract covering a specific period, or for comment on a result, write to us with your deadline.

What we do not do

We publish no sponsored content, accept no guest articles and sell no links. Editorial partnership offers go unanswered. We never share a voter's data with anyone: we do not hold it in a form that would make that possible.

We do not create matches to order for an account, a brand or a campaign. The normal route for proposing a debate is open to everyone and goes through the same review for everyone.
